Whats New

The Alcide Center for Counseling & Family Services (ACCFS) was founded in 2002 to provide culturally-competent mental health services to Haitians living with HIV/AIDS. Housed at the Center for Community Health, Education & Research (CCHER), the program offers an array of direct care services including:
(1) diagnosis evaluations;
(2) crisis intervention;
(3) psychopharmacological assessment and intervention;
(4) individual, family and group counseling;
(5) community education and outreach.

Mission
To provide comprehensive and culturally-competent mental health assessment, treatment, and consultation to Haitian individuals and families who are living with in the greater Boston area and surrounding communities.
To link clients to other supportive services that promote psychosocial adjustment and well-being.
To raise awareness, reduce stigmas, and promote greater acceptance of mental illness and mental health care in the community.

Meet the Staff
Staff members of the Alcide Center for Counseling & Family Services represent a wide array of individuals with diverse experience and professional backgrounds. They are fluent in Haitian Creole and English. Our staff members are:
