The Meal Delivery Program was developed in response to the overwhelming number of Haitians with HIV/AIDS and their families who required regular or emergency food assistance here in the city of Boston. The program responds to the dietary needs of Haitians by providing hot home delivered meals that are culturally and nutritionally appropriate. These meals not only fulfill the nutritional needs of the HIV consumer, but also allow families to enjoy a meal together; due to illness, many consumers would not normally have the ability to prepare such a meal.

CCHER currently provided hot meals daily to Haitian HIV consumers and their families. The program serves non-Haitian HIV consumers as well. Meals are delivered to homes, hospitals and shelters Monday through Friday. Daily menus are tailored to consumers' nutritional needs and special dietary considerations, including religious restrictions. Consumers also receive special meals on holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Take a look at some of the MENU items included in CCHER's Meal Program.
